We're excited to work with you and want everything to go smoothly, so here's what to expect when you book a shoot or service with Lofoten Weddings.

These terms apply to all couple, family, maternity, engagement photo sessions.
By booking a session and attending the photoshoot, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Booking & Payments

To confirm your booking, we require a 30% deposit.
The remaining 70% is due 7 days before the scheduled photoshoot or service.

If payment isn’t completed by then, we reserve the right to cancel your booking unless otherwise agreed.

Cancellation by You

  • Cancel 21+ days before the photoshoot → Full refund of the deposit

  • Cancel less than 21 days before → Deposit is non-refundable
     (But if something unexpected happens, let’s talk — we’ll try to find a solution.)

Cancellation or Rescheduling Due to Weather

Lofoten is dramatic, wild, and unpredictable — and its weather is part of the magic.
Sessions go ahead in most conditions, including wind, clouds, drizzle, fog, or changing light.

Photoshoots will only be cancelled or moved if the weather is dangerous or impossible, for example:

  • storms

  • extreme winds

  • road closures

  • hazardous conditions at the shooting location

If this happens, we will try to reschedule your session to the nearest available date or time.

Please note that refunds cannot be issued due to weather, as preparation and time are dedicated to your booking regardless of conditions.

Client Responsibilities

The Client is responsible for:

  • arriving on time

  • choosing clothing appropriate for weather and terrain

  • ensuring children or family members participate safely

  • informing the photographer of any mobility issues

  • understanding that delays may reduce the total shooting time

Late arrival does not extend the session unless agreed in advance.

Artistic Style & Editing

By booking the session, you acknowledge that you have seen the photographer’s portfolio and accept the artistic style, including the natural approach to shooting and editing.

Editing does not include:

  • removing or adding people or objects

  • altering body shape or facial structure

  • heavy retouching of guests

  • changing backgrounds

  • stylistic filters outside the photographer’s style

Only natural retouching consistent with the photographer’s style is applied.
RAW files and unedited images are not provided under any circumstances.

Image Delivery

Edited images are delivered within 30 working days unless otherwise agreed.
Delivery is via an online gallery.

Number of Images

The Client understands that they will receive the amount of fully edited photos stated in their chosen package.
Not all images taken during the session will be delivered.

Complaints & Adjustments

Requests for adjustments may be submitted within 7 days after the gallery is delivered, provided the images have not been published online.

Up to 5 images (for small sessions) may be adjusted for:

  • retouching

  • crop changes

  • black & white / color conversion

Corrections will be delivered within 14 days.

Copyright & Usage License

The photographer retains full copyright to all images.
The client receives a personal-use license, allowing:

  • printing

  • sharing with family

  • posting on social media

Commercial use, resale, or editing is not permitted without written consent.

Editing Restrictions

The client may not modify the photos in any way, including:

  • applying filters

  • recoloring

  • cropping

  • altering style

  • retouching

Images may only be resized for sharing.

GDPR & Personal Data

Your personal data (name, email, communication, and images) is processed only for the purpose of providing the photoshoot service and delivering your gallery.
Data is stored securely and never shared except for delivery platforms (gallery hosting) or when legally required.

Images are considered personal data.
By booking the session, you agree that your photos will be processed and stored as part of providing the service..

Portfolio & Social Media Use

By attending the session, you give permission for the photographer to use selected images in her portfolio, website, and social media.
Images are always used tastefully and respectfully.

If you prefer privacy or wish to opt out, please let me know before your session, and your request will always be honored.
